This quote means that to associate yourself with men of good quality maybe trying to say that to find someone that will treat you right and have in good hands and not a guy who wont be for you when most needed. If you esteem you own reputation for it's better to be alone than in bad company so another one is that don't treat that person bad because you never no if they can turn there back at you because they can be trusted but you never no if they are telling others something that isn't true so just be careful and find the right person you think is best for you and can have a nice personality with you and your family.
